"Is it new - Is it different - Does it say something.
These are things I look to in creating my art."
Mixed media and collage have allowed me to express my thoughts and feelings. There is a saying in mixed media that anything goes. It is very much creating from anything about anything. Originality is most important to me. When I create something completely new it feels wonderful to open my eyes and, hopefully, others to the possibilities. An art class in college; workshops and galleries and museums are things I never tire of. Sharing art with my late husband, a metal sculptor was a special delight.

From time to time I have taken classes to improve my techniques and use new methods. Lynn Kishiyama, a Paso Robles artist, has inspired me in a number of her workshops. The encouragement received from other artists is a real boost for me. Being around art and artists are among my happiest times. Santa Clarita has been my home for 30 years. My daughter, son and grandkids are all near-by to keep me busy too. Another passion is our local Food Pantry where I have volunteered for 11 years and now serve on their Board.
