Han Na Hong (Artist Name: H.RED) was born in 1990 Bochum, Germany. When she was a kid, she lived in South Korea and moved to the United States in 2003. Hong graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Currently, she is focusing on creating abstract paintings. As an abstract painter, she works with oil, acrylic, alcohol ink, and/or paper on canvas. By using visual contrasts in formal elements she creates paintings that are tense with the push and pull of line and space. Hong's main concept is "Memory and Distortion" and "Reality and Perception." Artworks are based on the relationship between memory and reality, and how distorted memory creates a perception of the world.
