I am a long-time Santa Clarita resident and life-long lover of art. I am a retired cake-decorator and pet lover. I am mainly self-taught--but, have had the benefit of taking classes with many talented professionals. I enjoy attending art shows and was inspired to pick up my brushes after a long hiatus after attending several shows in the Palm Desert area. The desert landscapes inspired and me and renewed my passion for painting. In nature, we are surrounded by beauty, color, and light. I consider my style to be impressionistic, and I use the palette knife along with vivid colors to put energy and flow into my work. I try to capture a moment and interpret it to bring joy to those with whom I share it. Although I focus primarily on creating landscapes, often from my travels, I also enjoy creating paintings and portraits for family and friends. I work primarily in oils and acrylics.
