Painting Opportunity May 4, 2024 SCAA Artists at the Farmers Market Show dates: Every Saturday starting March 2024 ENTRY Deadline April 17, 2024 In December, eleven of our SCAA artists painted in the courtyard area outside the Laemmle Theater in partnership with the Santa Clarita International Film Festival. This caught the attention of the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market.
Exciting NEWS! SCAA have been offered an ongoing booth at the Farmers Market on Saturday every week for FREE to promote SCAA, including the Gallery, events, and artists members. Saturday, from 8:30am – 1:00pm, SCAA will have a covered booth at the market where 2 SCAA artists will paint to entertain market shoppers while promoting SCAA. Since the booth is free, there will be NO individual sales, as the main goal is the connect with the community and grow awareness of the SCAA including membership, the Gallery, and other events through live art making. We are still working out several of the details and hope to get a list of 26 or more artists who would be interested in participating several times throughout out the year. After the deadline there will be a Zoom meeting to discuss details and artist expectations including promoting the SCAA Gallery, membership, mailing list, QR codes and more. This is a very exciting opportunity for SCAA, to gain more visibility in Old Town Newhall and Santa Clarita community. If you have questions, please contact Patty Haft via TEXT at 661-212-4296.
