Artist Statement:
I enjoy the challenge of producing representational works of art. I view realism as much more than a technical ability. While it requires a careful study of the object and skill to accurate portray the physical likeness, it also involves the capability to capture the unseen; the essence of a subject or tension of a moment.
I thrive on the process of creating. I continuously explore and experiment with new materials. I believe our journey is a wonderful gift and I seek to capture and express the people and everyday miracles and wonder that we share and experience. Whether it is the birth of a litter of newborn puppies, the distinctive smile of a cherished friend, or the atmosphere of an Ozark autumn my personal encounter with my surroundings are an unlimited resource for me.
