I moved to Santa Clarita in 2015. After I retired in 2017 from the bureaucracy of the City of Pasadena, I was looking for something fun to do with all my free time. After dabbling in a couple of activities, I found a watercolor class at the senior center. This got me started on my rediscovery of making art and drawing which I neglected for many years. From a young age I enjoyed drawing. I took a few classes in high school and college but all that went by the wayside as I “grew up and earned a living”.
People and faces captivate me. I love painting and drawing portraits. Today I find myself doing mostly watercolor portraits. I am still in the process of finding “my style” and I am fascinated by the works of so many talented artists. I am happy to be part of the Santa Clarita Artist Association and I hope to continue to learn and grow every day.
