A 5-Year Friendship: "The Art of Five"

For the past five consecutive years, five dedicated SCAA artists and close friends have gathered monthly to share their mutual love of creating original art and reading art literature.

Now, in a vibrant celebration of artistic camaraderie and shared inspiration, this independent exhibition takes center stage inside our Old Town Newhall gallery with a public showcase titled: "Art of Five: 5 Women, 5 Visions."

Running for one exclusive weekend from July 23rd through July 26th, 2026, this eclectic show features a diverse collection of subjects and styles, weaving together fresh masterpieces across a variety of mediums.

Meet the Artists & Celebrate Opening Night
This vibrant group showcase highlights the unique creative perspectives and individual technical mastery of five celebrated SCAA creators:

• Gloria Cassidy — A mixed media artist who prints her paper to use in crating images. 
• Susan Celis — A contemporary artist using both oil and watercolor paints. 
• Zony Gordon — A contemporary watercolor painter and mixed media artist. 
• Rosanna Haddad — A representational oil and textile artist inspired by nature and heritage.
• Meressa Naftulin — Subjects include a variety of genres using oil, watercolor, and pencil.

All of SCV is warmly invited to celebrate these five women during their public Opening Reception on Saturday evening, July 25th. They will be serving delicious, complimentary refreshments with live entertainment by jazz musician Gary Friedman!
