DESCRIPTION AND ELIGIBILITY: Event will be held at Le Chene French Cuisine 12625 Sierra Hwy. Agua Dulce, CA 91390 on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Set-up will begin at 8:00am on day of event, and complete by 10:00am for start of event. Show hours are from 10:00am – 4:00pm. You will be assigned a space or panel prior to the event and will be emailed a map of the location. Entries are first-come-first-served basis, and spaces will be randomly drawn. Artists may trade spaces with another artist after initial assignment, and if it is mutually agreed. Participants must have their SCAA membership current for the year 2022. Artists are required to stay the entire day with their art or arrange for someone to else to cover for them to represent the artist. Although, customers prefer to meet the artists.
Please fill out the entry form is below, print it out, scan it, and returned via email to Dody Rogers at scvdody@earthlink.net. Deadline of Call to Artists application is EXTENDED to midnight Sunday April 10th.
Promotion: Editorials and ads will be in the various local magazines of Santa Clarita as well as The Signal. We have postcards for you to email or mail to your own client list, and the restaurant will also be promoting to their mailing list and through their website. We encourage all of you to invite friends and have them eat brunch or lunch at the restaurant. A 15% discount is available to all that bring an ad or postcard. The restaurant will also have a wine bar available in the garden area where our event will be held. Please have guests plan ahead as reservations are recommended – Le Chene (661) 251-4315.
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ART Artist’s work must be original design and creation of the artist participating. All art must be professionally displayed/framed. Prints and greeting cards of original artwork and will be allowed. Business cards, bios, and name tags of the artists are allowed and encouraged. All media will be accepted.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE DISPLAY We will have club panels available for those that have pieces that will fit on one set of panels 60”w x 72h” (typically 4-6 works). We will also have arranged spaces of 12ft x 12ft for larger displays with easels or display racks for 10-12 works plus cards and prints. No umbrellas or canopies are allowed, as the site has plenty of trees that provide shade. No large tables allowed. Small side tables or easels will not be allowed around club panels, as we need to maintain proper distance for pedestrian traffic flow around them. Chairs will be provided by the restaurant. Do not bring your own chair. Take-down will begin at 4:00pm at the ending of the show. No early removal will be allowed.
FEES AND SALES Entry fee per artist is $25.00 that is required to be paid no later than Friday, April 22, 2022 through the SCAA website. All sales of artwork will be processed by SCAA, and will be subject to a 25% commission to be paid also to SCAA.
INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND PAST CUSTOMERS All members are encouraged to attend and bring guests, have brunch or lunch, and enjoy the art. Reservations for dining are recommended. Call Le Chene at 661 251-4315.
