​SCAA hosts a rotating annual calendar of themed fine art exhibitions inside our historic storefront gallery on 6th Street. Exhibition opportunities are an exclusive benefit for active SCAA members.

Gallery Exhibition FAQs

• Eligibility: Open exclusively to active SCAA members. Not a member? Join SCAA Online to become instantly eligible.
• Schedule: Shows rotate every 4–6 weeks, featuring a unique theme, a public opening reception, and a "Best of Show" ribbon.
• Fees & Limits: Submit up to 4 original works per show. The standard entry fee is $20.
• Commission: All art must be for sale. SCAA retains a standard 25% commission on sales to fund community operations.
• Volunteer Duty: Because SCAA is volunteer-run, exhibiting artists must sign up for 3–4 docent gallery hosting shifts (3 hours each) during the show. Final shift count is based on the length of show and number of exhibitors.
• Accepted Mediums: Original 2D and 3D fine art (oil, acrylic, watercolor, photo, ceramics, sculpture, glass, fiber, etc.).
• Exclusions: No generative AI, digital video, giclée prints of original paintings, or copyrighted work.
• Hanging Rules: 2D art must be dry, wired, and professionally framed (or on gallery-wrapped canvas with clean edges if 1.5" or deeper). No sawtooth hangers or staples.

Embrace the mystery of the season!

As the season shifts, explore the themes of twilight, transition, mystery, and atmosphere. This open-theme exhibition gives you creative seasonal freedom on a short timeline. We welcome original 2D and 3D work across all styles and mediums—from serene, quiet moods and deep shadow palettes to rich folklore, cozy nostalgia, or moody storytelling.

Layered stories, reinvented objects, and rich textures 

What happens when separate elements are brought together to create a brand-new story? IN PIECES celebrates the texture, depth, and innovation of mixed media, collage, and found or recycled items.. We are looking for art that breaks away from single-medium constraints and challenging artists to explore the art of fragmentation and reconstruction through layered, tactile materials. If it is built from diverse components, it belongs here!
