Our final grand gathering of the calendar year is SCAA’s premier winter social tradition! The Holiday Party brings our creative community together in an elegant, festive private home setting to toast our annual exhibition milestones, share exceptional food, and celebrate the season. Most importantly, this special evening serves as our official December General Membership Meeting, where our active roster formally casts their ballots to elect the incoming SCAA Executive Board!

• Annual Event Window: Early to Mid-December (Typically a Sunday evening from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
• The Vibe: A business casual holiday social. SCAA members provide a beautifully festive potluck spread and celebratory refreshments.
• The Annual Governance Vote: All active, current members are highly encouraged to attend, review our annual non-profit achievements, and cast their official votes for the upcoming executive board roster.

Elections Explained

How SCAA Board Elections Work
To ensure total organizational transparency and alignment with non-profit 501(c)(3) legal bylaws, SCAA leadership is structured across two distinct categories, both formally introduced on this special night:

1. The Elected Executive Board: These four core officers manage the association’s legal, financial, and master operational frameworks. They are formally nominated by committee and must be democratically voted into office live by a quorum of active members present at the party:
   • 🌟 President
   • 🌟 Vice President
   • 🌟 Treasurer
   • 🌟 Secretary
2. The Appointed Committee Chairs: These vital leadership positions (such as our Gallery Chair, Workshop Chair, and Programs Chair) are appointed directly by the Executive Board to run our specialized programs. While they do not require a live membership vote, their incredible contributions are formally announced and celebrated during the evening's remarks!

• 🍅 Last Names L through S: Fresh Summer Salads & Sides (e.g., roasted vegetables, artisan breads, specialty salads)
