Born and raised in rural Utah, Biskit’s roots in the land and nature
are deep within him. He love’s nature and living close to the land, even
though he lives far from the rural life at this time.
While earning the leather craft merit badge as a youth in the Boy Scout, he
found a natural skill and love that has never let him rest for very long
periods of time.
When he gets tired of leather carving and saddle repair, dabbling in oil
paint fills up the time. He is always open to trying new patterns or
attempting to make something new out of leather. Even if it can’t be done!
He has a great passion for the 1800’s time period.
Mountains and the indigenous wildlife and the people who lived and/or worked
there, at one time will always be the topic of artistic endeavor.
Although he is mostly a self-taught craftsman, he does not advocate this as
a means of learning to carve for the beginning craftsman.
