 I discovered my interest in art at a young age when I saw the paintings my
father did. I decided to try it for myself and remember drawing since grade
school. I continued drawing in pencil for years and even took a class in
pastels, but then went several years without creating. The urge was always
in me and though I had never tried oils, they always intrigued me and
decided to take classes about three years ago. I haven't stopped since! I
have learned so much and continue learning every day.
Oils have become my primary medium. I recently joined the SCAA and entered my
first Art Classic in 2008. What a great event! I have met so many
wonderful people and am truly inspired by the work of others. I look
forward to continually developing my style and exercising my creativity every
day.

Napali Coast in Kauai. |

My husband and I took our dream trip to
Alaska in May of 2008 and I
had to paint this. The majestic snow covered mountains and ice
floating in the water were just fascinating. |
