2007 - local Santa Clarita Boy Scout Troope
visits the SCAA gallery and gets a free painting lesson too!

In 2006 the Santa Clarita Artists' Association was awarded a grant from the city of Santa Clarita to conduct After-School Art Enrichment Classes.   Instructor/Coordinator was Jaylene Armstrong, Assistant Instructor: Sandy Fisher.  The lessons were thoroughly enjoyed by the children and on December 15, 2006 there was a festive closing reception with all the children's art displayed.  Each child was presented with a congratulatory completion certificate and a gift box of art supplies.
